Worship MinistryIntimacy...it is the hunger of our hearts. To sense closeness and love with another fuels the fire of our souls. Intimacy with God is the deepest hunger of our lives. We were created by Him to have intimacy with Him. Our purpose as a ministry is to convert, teach, equip and lead people into the worship of Almighty God. Our purpose is derived from God's larger purpose of desiring that people of every tribe, tongue, and nation would know and love Him. The proper response to knowing God is to worship Him! God is in the business of turning rebellious people into worshippers of Himself. Our dream as a ministry is that we would experience intimacy with God through worship, resulting in ongoing renewal and revival both within and without the church. Our goal in any given worship service is to focus our attention on the Lord and hear Him speak. We want to come to the place where we do nothing that distracts people from focusing upon the Lord. The music we use, the persons who sing it, and the musicians who play it are chosen with this priority in mind. In addition, having our congregation participate in worshipping the Lord takes precedence over solos, duets and the like. Any music we use that does not involve the congregation is chosen for its ability to focus on the Lord rather than on the person or persons performing the piece. There is no higher goal than hearing God. And we believe that God does speak and that He will change our lives as we worship Him.
