If you are searching for answers or want to connect with other believers we welcome you to come join us and check us out! We promise we won’t make you stand up and say your name infront of everyone, or force you tell us your life story, or sign you up for annoying junk mail. If you need prayer, we would love to pray for you. If you have questions, we’d love to help you find some answers. But most of all, we’d love to have you come see what we are all about!

Sunday School classes start at 9:30 AM and run through 10:30 AM. Our Worship Service starts at 10:45 AM and goes until 12:00 Noon. Afterwards, we have refreshments and cookies and usually spend time hanging out; you’re welcome to join us! Kids from 6th grade through K will enjoy our children’s program Kid City with lessons that reach them right at their level. We also have classes and childcare for Preschool through infant ages. For more information on classes for all ages, check out our Ministry page.

Our History
Kern Park Christian Church started out as a small Sunday School. Our first service in 1905 was over a store building at 67th and Foster Road (the building is still there!). J.F. Ghormley was minister at the time and the first offering was 15 cents. God used those funds to grow His kingdom through Kern Park Christian Church’s ministry locally and in other countries, and we continue that ministry today.

We Believe
-God is the creator of all things.
-Every person has great value having been created in the image of God; everyone has sinned and therefore falls short of the perfection of God and needs a savior.
-Jesus is the Messiah, God’s son and our savior, who was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, was raised from the dead on the third day, ascended to the Father, and will in the future return in glory.
-Forgiveness, a new start and everlasting life are promised to those who trust in Jesus as savior and Lord.
-Those who wish to enter into a relationship with God and his church are called to believe in Jesus and be baptized.
-The Holy Spirit gives us new life and dwells in every Christian.
-The Bible is the inspired written word of God and our guide for faith and practice in the life of the Christian and the church.
